Hallo & Welkom!
We are Thomas and Yvonne, proud owners of a beautiful campsite in attractive Sleen, located in the heart of Drenthe. Our passion for hospitality originated years ago in Haarlem, where we did small-scale vacation rentals. There the love for welcoming guests who were ready for a relaxing vacation grew.
In addition, we have long been in love with Drenthe. So a few years ago we started a challenging project in Dalen: refurbishing an old working farm. As we worked on this step by step, we noticed that the idea of a small-scale campsite attracted us more and more. And then this great opportunity came our way.
We are now a year into this wonderful adventure and are enthusiastically preparing for the second camping season.
Maak kennis met Thomas & Yvonne
Thomas is father of two daughters who have been out of the house for some time now and proud grandfather of two grandsons. In daily life, he works as a safety expert. His greatest hobbies are cars and tennis. At the campsite he has found a new challenge: keeping the grass perfectly green and neatly mowed with the mower 😉 and making sure the campsite looks its best. You will therefore regularly find him outside, working hard in and on the greenery!
Yvonne is a mother of two daughters and a son. One daughter already lives on her own, while the other two still live at home. Therefore, she still regularly drives to Haarlem to make sure everything continues to go well there. Yvonne has been an entrepreneur for more than 10 years and has a passion for hospitality and making everyone feel comfortable.
Her greatest hobbies are gardening and taking care of the pets that also roam the campground. Especially cat Mickey has become a real camping mascot and is even already mentioned in reviews 😉.
At the campsite, Yvonne therefore sees it as her biggest challenge to ensure hospitality, share pleasant moments on social media like Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, and organize something special from time to time. This way guests can enjoy the atmosphere on our campsite all year round!
Last season was a great experience for us. We enjoyed it immensely. We were able to welcome so many nice guests, have great conversations and be part of the conviviality of the guests. We saw the most diverse camping equipment pass by, such as: small tents, luxury motor homes, retro caravans and practical folding trailers. With all these new impressions, we are greatly looking forward to the new camping season, which starts on April 1, 2025.
Last season was a fantastic experience for us. We enjoyed it immensely. We were able to welcome so many nice guests, have great conversations, and of course the daily camping buzz made it extra special.
We still enjoy Sleen and the beautiful nature in the area every day and hope you have just as nice a time here. In any case, we do everything we can to give everyone a warm welcome.
